Laura Trope, Certified Gemologist Appraiser, opened lakal Jewelry in 1994. Since then, Lakal Jewelry has become one of the more respected jewelry stores in the West Los Angeles area and beyond. Its clientele spans from Los Angeles to London, Cape Town to Caracas. Lakal's pieces have been worn at many high profile events including movie premiers and the Academy Awards. In 1998 Lakal Jewelry was honored to earn status as a member of the American Gem Society.* In addition to being an AGS member, Lakal Jewelry is proud to be included as a member of the GIA Alumni Association, The 24KT Club of Southern California, The American Society of Appraiser and The Women’s Jewelry Association.
